OUR REASON
Maxwell "Max" James Eichhorn
On September 24, 2024, our second son, Maxwell "Max" James Eichhorn, was born sleeping at 33 weeks. His passing was the result of a complete placental abruption—a sudden and devastating complication that not only took Max’s life but left his mom, Meghan, in critical condition. She woke up in the ICU after going into DIC during surgery, losing half her blood volume, and experiencing hemorrhagic shock and acute hypoxic respiratory failure.
Max is our perfect angel. He was born weighing 4 lbs 14 oz and measuring 18 inches long, with a full head of dark black hair—he looked just like his mama. We were blessed with 30 precious hours with him: hours spent baptizing him, introducing him to family, reading him stories, and giving him every ounce of love in our hearts.
Max’s story is heartbreaking, and there are no words to truly describe the depth of our grief. But as a family, we are committed to honoring Max’s memory with love, purpose, and action. We want his short life to make a lasting impact by supporting others who face this unimaginable pain.
As we approach Max’s 1st birthday, we are choosing to celebrate his life by sharing our love in a tangible way.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit Max’s Angel Closets an initiative through the Adalyn Rose Foundation. As well as the Adalyn Rose Foundation which provides comprehensive, continuous support to families grieving the loss of a child during pregnancy, infancy, or early childhood. Their services include in-hosptial Remembrance Carts, financial assistance for memorial cost to families across Pennsylvania, customized comfort gifts, support groups and more.
Max's Angel Closet was created to provide mini wardrobes filled with clothing, hats, bows, and personalized angel nameplates to families who must say both hello and goodbye to their child in the same breath.
This is Max’s legacy: bringing comfort, compassion, and connection to families in their darkest moments.
We miss Max every single day. But through him, we’ve learned that even in tragedy, love can lead us to hope. And we will continue to share his light by giving back.
